Senior Market Operations Analyst

What will you be doing?

• Deliver regular and bespoke insights on market and asset performance across bidding outcomes, constraints, FCAS and wholesale market dynamics, with a focus on continuously improving how this information is produced and used
• Execute day-to-day market activities including bid submission, oversight of automated bidding tools, and coordination with external providers to refine strategies and enhance revenue outcomes
• Manage core market operations processes such as settlements with AEMO and offtake counterparties, LGC creation and position management, and ongoing compliance with market rule
• Provide analytical support to commercial decision-making through detailed modelling and scenario analysis spanning offtakes, merchant exposure, portfolio revenue, development projects and acquisition opportunities
• Contribute to the evolution of portfolio trading and contracting strategy by supporting forecasting, budgeting and regulatory monitoring, and by embedding robust processes as the platform scales.

Who would suit this position?

• A quantitative analyst - strong Python, R or PowerBi skill set.
• A NEM expert who has 2+ years experience in the wholesale market
• A financial modelling or spot trading background
• A proven track record with AEMO data analyses
